Optimal Human Habitat Makes Survival Easy and Delightful

Optimal habitat makes survival easier than sub-optimal or deficient habitat. For humans this is no different, but sheep are sheep and don't know much of being human so we create terribly deficient habitat for ourselves and suffer from it.

Optimal habitat means your neighborhood makes it easy to thrive, not just physiologically but personally and socially. Optimal habitat is liberating, not enslaving, it does not place burdens upon you, it is freeing.

For example when you live in the mountain it's warm in the winter and cool in the summer and you don't have to pay for heating and cooling and you don't have to own a car and pay for that and you can eat in the dining halls so you don't have to cook all the time, with other benefits like these. These things are freeing and make life easier.

Transportation infrastructure, on the other hand, is a classic example of bad habitat design yielding burdensome and enslaving effects. Societies designed around automobile transportation not only suffer challenging municipal costs for the infrastructure maintenance, but also a vehicle cost that's highly burdensome for many people. There are places where it snows and people have to shovel out their car and driveway before commuting to work, it's brutal. The habitat deficiences seen in our transportation infrastructure come with other burdens like loss of fresh air, injuries and deaths, and numerous more.
